In 2021, Harlem's Fashion Row (HFR) partnered with Toyota and The Dream Project for their annual HBCU summit. A segment of the summit was dedicated to HBCU designers, who participated in a challenge for a chance to win a grant of $2,500. The designs had to be inspired the 2022 Toyota Corolla XSE Apex, or the 2021 Rav XSE Hybrid.
I was 1 of 3 selected HBCU designers, and the summit has been featured on various websites such as Ebony Magazine.
